Western Catskills Region Foodshed Research & Analysis
A report has been compiled by Catskills FarmLink partner, Catskill Mountainkeeper, and the Natural Resources Defense Counsel (NRDC), evaluating the opportunity to establish the Western Catskill region (comprising Delaware, Sullivan and Ulster counties) as a foodshed for the New York City metropolitan area. Relevant to the creation of a foodshed, a research consultant reviewed and analyzed existing research, and consolidated the results. The report will serve as a baseline resource for the stakeholder group being tasked with taking the Western Catskills region Foodshed to the next level.
