Early Bird Cookery is a farm-to-table caterer & healthy meal delivery service located 90 miles from NY city in Callicoon Center, New York. We create a weekly seasonal menu of organic, nutrient dense meals based on our client’s tastes and needs. We then deliver into the city every Monday with food for the week. We also cater events, host four-course farm to table dinners, teach cooking and canning / preserving classes as well as make small batch seasonal ice cream. This position is seasonal : from May through September or October. 30+ hours per week is required, with more hours during busy holiday weekends. The bulk of our work is done Thursday through Monday.

Duties: * collaborate & create recipes w/head chef. recipe testing. * cook weekly menus of entrees, sides, soups, kid’s meals & juices * assist with catering events & supper clubs
* deliver meals on Mondays * assist w/sourcing from local area farms * help to preserve the season's bounty : dehydrating, pickling, preserving, canning, etc. * assist w/ ice cream make and/or selling at local farm markets * optional : make cheese
Culinary school degree and/or restaurant/catering experience required. Competitive hourly rate.
